2019 Tilden Outstanding Citizen Award Recipient(s)

The Tilden Bank announced that the recipients of the 2019 Tilden Outstanding Citizen Award are the volunteers of the Tilden New 2 U Thrift Store (just a few of the many volunteers pictured here). This selection was based upon nominations received from the public to recognize those individuals who devote their time and energies toward our community and area.In summary, all the volunteers at the New 2 U Thrift Store have donated a lot of time and effort to make this community project a success, from the individuals who were instrumental in the startup, to the volunteers who work the daily shifts, and all workers in between. This has truly been a "Helping Hand" mission and an asset to our little community. To date the store has donated back over $50,000. Great job!The other nominees for this award included: Theta Dame, Lyle Herbolsheimer, Don Mollhoff, Dan Peck, Cliff & Carol Strahm and Norma Thies.Congratulations and thank you to New 2 U and to all nominees for their devotion and dedication to our area and community.
