Tilden's 2018 Outstanding Citizens, Darrell & Georgia Wyatt

Story

The Tilden Bank announced this week that Darrell and Georgia Wyatt were selected as the recipients for this year's Outstanding Citizen Award. This selection was based upon nominations received from the public to recognize those individuals who devote their time and energies toward our community and area.

Those who voted were asked to provide a narrative describing why their nominee deserved to be selected, and the following will best summarize what was said on those nominations received about this year's recipients:

"Darrell and Georgia have unselfishly given their time and efforts to promote the community and ensure that the town's Prairie Days celebration continues. Georgia shares her talents with the community by being actively involved with the library providing classes. Darrell and Georgia can be seen always willing to lend a helping hand at various fundraisers."

The other nominees for this award included: Boyd Batenhorst, Theta Dame, Deb Harris, Harry Myhre, New 2 U employees, Jose Parra, John Petersen, Nancy Schwartz, Theresa Staub, Miriam Taylor, Norma Thies and Craig Wolske.

Congratulations and thank you to Darrell and Georgia and to all nominees for their devotion and dedication to our area and community.
